LEGOLAND® California
If you're a kid and you love Legos and you theme parks then, LEGOLAND® California is the theme park for you. The Lego-inspired theme park opened in 1999 and features more than 60 rides, factory tours and the Lego-themed areas Dino Island, Duplo, Fun Town, MiniLand USA, Castle Hill, Imagination Zone, Pirate Shores, Land of Adventure and Legoland Water Park. In 2008, SEA LIFE Aquarium at LEGOLAND California Resort, a two-story, nearly 36,000-square-foot aquarium, opened as a separate attraction.
What's New
On March 31, 2011, LEGOLAND® California Resort introduced an all-new STAR WARS™ Miniland area where guests experience scenes from the six live-action STAR WARS movies, plus one from the animated series STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS™ – all made of 1.5 millionLEGO® bricks. Also, Splash Zoo, a new toddler area, opened inside LEGOLAND® Water Park on May 26, 2011.
