Island Hotel Newport Beach Celebrates the Holiday Season
NEWPORT BEACH, CA (October 23, 2009) - Entertaining, dining, shopping, rejuvenation,
and relaxing getaways await guests at Island Hotel Newport Beach during this holiday
season. The famous Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade – now celebrating its 101st year –
is another reason to book early for the seasonal festivities.
Packages
Holiday Getaway invites guests to indulge in luxurious accommodations, enjoy a full-
American breakfast for two in the hotel’s Palm Terrace Restaurant or in the privacy of their
guestroom. The package also includes complimentary valet parking for one vehicle and starts
at $245 per night.
Holiday Shopping Spree is for those looking to shop neighboring Fashion Island, inclusions
are one night in luxurious accommodations with a $50 gift card and VIP Discount Card valid
at nearly 200 specialty shops and restaurants of nearby Fashion Island – Orange County’s
premier outdoor shopping center. Price starts at $345. One $50 gift card is available per stay.

Fashion Island Shopping Exclusive
All Wrapped Up for the Holidays program is a complimentary offering to both hotel guests
and our local clientele from December 1 through December 19. Shop Fashion Island with its
array of shopping temptations and upon your return, gifts will be elegantly wrapped and
placed directly into your car. While your gifts are being wrapped, unwind at Palm Terrace
Lounge and sip on a signature seasonal martini or perhaps a quaff from our extensive
Champagne-by-the-glass menu paired with Chef Bill Bracken’s savory small bites. Parking
and wrapping services are complimentary, services available 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Toys for Tots
As the holidays are a perfect time to give back to the less fortunate in our community,
shoppers are encouraged to donate new, unwrapped toys, valued at $10 or more, or make a
cash donation, through December 19th to the Toys for Tots program, continuing the Hotel’s
longstanding relationship with The Marine Corps Reserve as a toy drop location.
Holiday Spa Rejuvenation
Holiday Party Facial is a signature spa ritual that features a customized blend of
antioxidants and Vitamin C to increase cellular vitality and metabolic activity, revitalizing,
toning and brightening the skin to a radiant glow. Certainly a glamorous way to prepare for
any celebratory occasion. Price is $140.
Douglas Fir Salt Scrub is a signature seasonal tribute to the most popular Christmas tree on
the West Coast, the Douglas fir – its essential oil is aromatic with antiseptic attributes and is
also beneficial to the body’s respiratory, nervous and muscular systems. The scrub mixture
combines antioxidant rosemary with its delicious evergreen scent and pink Himalayan sea
salt containing over 84 minerals and trace elements along with an infusion of fir tree essential
oil. The luscious scrub is followed by a moisturizing mango butter massage.
Price is $230.
The Peppermint Reflexology treatment is an especially welcome treat after an exhausting
day of holiday shopping. The special treatment lasts 30 minutes and utilizes a distinctive
ancient technique focusing on the pressure points of the hands and feet to restore the flow of
energy and promote an overall sense of well-being delivering hours of release from the stress
that comes with this time of year. Price is $90.

Holiday Culinary Offerings
Chef Bill Bracken presents his annual Table-less Thanksgiving Day Buffet in Palm Terrace
Restaurant. Feast on delicious holiday favorites – varied presentations of small-plate
appetizers; choice of entrée (to include the traditional roast turkey with all the trimmings); as
well as delectable desserts created by Pastry Chef Michael Owens. From 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Cost is $75 for adults and $38 for children 12 years and under. A harpist will entertain.
Christmas Eve Four-Course Dinner – Guests will be entertained by festive holiday
carolers and menu will include traditional holiday selections. Served from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30
p.m. Cost is $88 per adult and $42 for children 12 years and under.
Family-Style Christmas in Our House – Christmas Day Brunch, similar to the Table-less
Thanksgiving Buffet, served from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Cost is $75 for adults, $38 for
children 12 and under.
A harpist will entertain with holiday music.
Christmas Night Four-Course Dinner – Festive, delicious and relaxing. Guests will be
serenaded by Christmas Carolers while enjoying elegant culinary offerings, topped with
mouth-watering desserts. Dinner is served from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Cost is $88 per adult
and $42 for children 12 and under.

New Year’s Eve Revelry
Ring in 2010 with an evening beginning in our Palm Terrace Restaurant. Enjoy a
delectable four-course dinner; served from 6 p.m. Cost is $95 per person, excluding tax and
gratuity.
Second seating is a spectacular five-course dinner, served from 9 p.m. and includes access to
Palm Terrace Lounge festivities. Cost is $175 per person, excluding tax and gratuity.
Palm Terrace Lounge offers an evening of New Year Eve’s celebration including table
reservations; Chef Bracken’s assorted small plates as well as a Champagne toast at midnight.
Enjoy live music by Lisa Lofthouse and Friends with dancing. Cost is $150 per person, plus
tax and gratuity.
