Spotlight on: The Ranch Restaurant & Saloon

It’s not everyday a brand new, 20,000 square-foot restaurant opens up in Orange County, let alone one touting the likes of Executive Chef Michael Rossi and Master Sommelier Michael Jordan. With a menu boasting the best in American regional cuisine and wine for days, its no wonder the opening of The Ranch Restaurant is a highly anticipated Anaheim happening. 

The Ranch Restaurant & Saloon is the brainchild and dream of Southern-born and bred Andrew Edwards, owner of Orange County’s Extron Electronics. The Restaurant and Saloon are next door to each other, but are two separate sister venues that operate independently of one another. The Restaurant has an understated elegance with beautiful touches of dark wood, stunning light fixtures and beautiful décor touches like old leather belts on the floor. Another notable restaurant fact- select produce used on their seasonally focused menu is grown at their own farm!

The Saloon opened about a month ago and judging by the Yelp reviews, it was an instant hit. As a country music and line-dancing lover in OC, Edwards struggled for years to find a venue that was close-by and wasn’t a total pit. The remedy? Make his own Saloon- a state-of-the-art facility with the best in audiovisual equipment (it’s his day job, after all), live country music line-up, line dancing classes and even a custom-made, 47’x26’, temperature-controlled dance floor. It’s clear Edwards has been involved in every single little detail from the mouth-watering bar menu to the amazing fender guitar disco “ball.”

As if all that isn’t fabulous enough, The Ranch will also be opening a 200-seat banquet facility a few floors above the Restaurant & Saloon, as well as two additional private dining rooms, a wine cellar and an 18-seat kitchen classroom (coming in Summer 2012). With all of these amenities, a fabulous setting and the best in food and wine, The Ranch’s future is looking very bright.
