Anaheim's Hometown Girl Goes Global
Known for her
infectious energy and platinum hair,
Gwen Stefani is a singer, songwriter, fashion icon and pop superstar.
Stefani grew up in
Anaheim and exploded onto the rock scene by
fronting the band No Doubt. Influenced by reggae and ska music, the band was an instant success in Orange County, playing local venues and creating a buzz with their unique sound. The album
Tragic Kingdom moved them into the global spotlight, and
No Doubt soon topped the charts with several hits, won 2 Grammy's and sold over 28 million albums.
Gwen is currently focusing on her solo career on and off the stage. Using her unique sense of style, she founded the fashion lines
L.A.M.B. and
Harajuku Lovers - both quickly becoming industry sensations.
In 2007, she released
her second solo album The Sweet Escape, featuring her distinctive vocals, catchy hooks and hot beats. April through October,
her world tour hits Berlin, London, Milan, Paris, Sydney, Tokyo, Toronto, and of course, home - Orange County, California on June 22-23, 2007.
