Gina McQuade, four-year tourism development manager at the Anaheim/Orange County Visitor & Convention Bureau (AOCVCB), transitions to convention sales director, joining the meeting sales team on September 5, 2006.
“Gina’s warm hospitality and outstanding communication, organizational and meeting planning skills combined with her extensive hotel sales experience will serve her well in this new role,” commented Ann Gallaugher, vice president of tourism development, AOCVCB. “Although we are sorry to see her leave ‘Team Tourism,’ we’re delighted she will remain here with us at the Bureau.”
Ms. McQuade is an Orange County native and has more than 18 years of hotel industry experience, including more than eight years in sales and catering positions at the Anaheim Marriott. Her responsibilities include managing and developing meetings using fewer than 500 rooms within the Southern California corporate and Arizona, New Mexico and San Diego association markets.
“We are delighted to hire such an outstanding individual from within,” explained Mindy Abel, vice president of meeting sales, AOCVCB. “Her knowledge of the Anaheim/Orange County area and strong relationships within the Bureau and tourism community are invaluable assets to our team.”
