Free and Almost Free Things to See and Do in Orange County

	Disneyland: Free on your Birthday Disneyland Resort's "What You Will Celebrate" campaign features free admission for those celebrating their birthdays.
	Discovery Science Center ($12.95 adults, $9.95 children): Explore more than 100 hands-on exhibits, participate in live science experiments and more! Current Exhibits include: The Science of Hockey, Smokey Bear and Woodsy Owl, Robots and Us and more.
	Big Bear Lake Visitors can enjoy a variety of diversions at absolutely no cost including family movies on the big screen, live entertainment in the Village, lakeside barbeque dinners, thirty minute nature walks, screenings of independent films, a colorful parade on the main drag, a showcase of antique autos and a free day of fishing.
	Fullerton Arboretum Housed on the grounds of California State University, Fullerton, the Fullerton Arboretum is a collection of more than 4,000 plants on 26 acres of land. The arboretum is open from 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. every day except New Year's Day, Christmas Day and Thanksgiving and admission is free (donations are welcome, though). The arboretum also has regular plant and vegetable sales events throughout the year.
	Monster Matinees at Muzeo Learn how monsters are made and then see them in action on Muzeo's movie screen. Movies are included with Muzeo admission, but seating is limited.
	Orange County Great Park Balloon Rides The helium (not hot-air) balloon, which is located in the 27.5-acre Preview Park, provides a great view of Orange County from 400 feet in the air. There is a charge for parking, but each balloon ride is free.
