Food Celebrations

On Thursday evening, May 14th, The Shops at Anaheim Gardenwalk will be the backdrop for the 14th Annual Taste of Anaheim. Hundreds, if not thousands, of people are expected to attend this premier food, wine and music experience and will sample foods from more than 50 fine restaurants from Anaheim and surrounding areas. Some notable participants this year include Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, California Pizza Kitchen, Bubba Gumps, McCormick & Schmick's Grille, Rainforest Café, Naples Ristorante, Catal Restaurant & Uva Bar, Tortilla Jo's, Roy's Hawaiian Fusion Cuisine, Mr. Stox Restaurant, and Alcatraz Brewing Co.

Food and wine afficionados can partake in the many worldly flavors to be found at the Fourth Annual California Food & Wine Festival taking place now through June 7. Visitors can enjoy cooking demonstrations, seminars and recipes that reflect the Golden State's regional and culinary diversity. The six-week festival also includes free events with complimentary culinary demonstrations with resort chefs, international chefs and celebrity chefs, as well as winemaker dinners and wine tasting courses held by master sommelier, Michael Jordan.

From July 10 through August 9, 2009, the 117th Orange County Super Fair invites visitors to "Think. Big." The Fair just wouldn't be the Fair without the abundance of food to complement the rides, exhibits and contests. Approximately 80 vendors offer a variety of food choices, including giant turkey legs, corn dogs, cinnamon rolls, lemonade and of course, deep-fried Twinkies.

The flavors of the world descend upon downtown Orange for the Orange International Street Fair (OISF). Every Labor Day weekend, for more than three decades, the Orange International Street Fair has been the place where food fans get together to experience a wide variety of food, music and dance from cultures and ethnicities throughout the world.

The 21st Annual Taste of Newport, September 18-20, is anticipating more than 75,000 people to sample all of the culinary delights. The event will take place at premier open-air Fashion Island in beautiful Newport Beach. The event will feature more than 30 restaurants, 15 wineries, live cooking demonstrations and spectacular live music entertainment - last year's headliners included STYX, UB40 and Third Eye Blind!
