Disney Food & WineFrom April 24 to June 7, 2009, a World Celebration comes to Disneyland®Resort. The Fourth Annual Disney's California Food & Wine Festival will showcase the culture, people and traditions that have influenced and shaped California. Free events will include complimentary culinary demonstrations with resort chefs, international chefs and celebrity chefs. There will also be winemaker dinners and wine tasting courses held by Master Sommelier, Michael Jordan. Disney recently announced the launch of D23, the first official community for Disney fans. D23 includes behind-the-scenes programs and special events designed for specifically Disney fans. D23 will culminate at the sizeable special event D23 Expo, to be held September 10-13, at the Anaheim Convention Center. It will feature entertaining speakers, celebrity appearances, exhibitions, sneak peeks, film screenings, and one-of-a-kind merchandise.

Angel StadiumAnaheim anticipates a hit season this year as Major League Baseball's Angels open the season at Angel Stadium of Anaheim on April 6. The boys of summer will be playing America's favorite pastime through September and hopefully through the postseason. More baseball news for fans of the game ahead as the 2010 All-Star Game comes to Anaheim and Angel Stadium. Mark your calendars for Tuesday, July 13, 2010, for an energy-filled fan festival at the Anaheim Convention Center extending from the preceeding weekend on through game day. 

The Anaheim City Council is looking to bring the USA Volleyball (USAV) Women's National Team from Colorado Springs to Anaheim. Once finalized, Anaheim would be designated as the Official Host City for the U.S. Men's and Women's National Volleyball Teams, potentially through 2016, and further promote Anaheim throughout the volleyball and Olympic sport communities.
