For 2009, the Disneyland® Resort is encouraging visitors to make the most of their celebration opportunities, most notably by offering free admission on your birthday to one of its Theme Parks, but the party doesn't have to stop once you leave the Disneyland® Resort. Anaheim/Orange County is the place to be for your personal and holiday celebrations.
Huntington Beach, Surf City USA®, turns 100 in February and special events are planned for the entire year.
Some of the special events include, but not limited to:
This Valentine’s Day take your love to some of Orange County’s most romantic and scenic restaurants.
Take in the sweeping OC views at the Orange Hill Restaurant. Listen to the crashing waves of the Pacific Ocean as you dine at the Beachcomber Cafe or Las Brisas - Seafoods of Mexico restaurant, both in Laguna Beach. Dine at the romantic and historic Anaheim White House, which turns 100 this year. Enjoy the views of Newport Harbor from the Harborside Grand Restaurant & Ballroom.
For the romance of the sea try one of the chartered yachts from Hornblower Cruises, Pacific Avalon Yacht Charters, or Dana Wharf Whale Watching and Sport Fishing for a Valentine’s Day cruise through scenic Newport Beach or Dana Point.
Springtime festivals bloom in the OC. During the first week in March, the city of Dana Point will host the 38th annual Festival of Whales. The more than 100,000 expected visitors will take part in a variety of activities including a parade, farmers market, classic car show, concerts, and of course, whale watching.
March also marks the return of the swallows to San Juan Capistrano. This year's Return of the Swallows Celebration honors San Juan Capistrano's sister city, Capestrano, Italy. The celebration will feature two days of Italian vendors, food, music, art and culture — a true Italian celebration!
