OC New Year's Celebrations

OC New Year's EveNew Year's Eve is the only time of the year that you actually want to drop the ball. The OC has it's own  way of ushering in the new year. With no shortage of parties, venues and galas, say farewell to 2008 and hello to 2009!

Watch the orange drop as the NYEOC rings in 2009 with a blast. Don’t miss out on the biggest New Year’s Party on the West Coast and what has become an Orange County tradition. The location for this year’s bash will be the Hilton Costa Mesa from 8 p.m.

Two new Anaheim nightclubs, Heat Ultra Lounge and Ember Cafe & Music Club, promise to fan the flames of excitement come New Year’s Eve. Ember, a 6,000-square-foot, 500-person-capacity, bi-level club opened in June of 2008. Heat Ultra Lounge is a 11,000-square-foot club located at the Anaheim GardenWalk.

The New Year's Eve gala at the fabulous Montage Resort & Spa Laguna Beach features gourmet cuisine, fine wines, live music and dancing. The resort itself is unlike any other, located atop a coastal bluff and adorned with lush landscaping and white sand beaches. You can also get a weekend package, which includes three nights, breakfast daily, a room with an ocean view and valet parking.

Fullerton’s “First Night” celebration is the city’s annual New Year’s Eve party, offering family-oriented, alcohol-free activities at numerous locations in the streets, sidewalks and buildings in the historic downtown district. The event also features music, art, dining and a fireworks show to ring in 2009.
Knott's Berry Farm will hail in the new year with Praise 2009, a celebration consisting of Christian music, world-class thrill rides and midnight fireworks.

The Queen Mary in Long Beach hosts its annual New Year's Eve celebration throughout the entire ship. Tickets will get you admission to the ship, fireworks and access to seven entertainment venues including five live music venues (some with midnight balloon drops).
