Festival of Whales

Participate in Dana Point’s Festival of Whales (March 1-2, 8-9), a special event that celebrates the roundtrip migration of the California Gray Whale from Alaska to Baja and includes whale watching tours.

San Juan Capistrano’s annual Return of the Swallows Celebration (March 15-29) celebrates the swallows’ return to Capistrano with a festival at the historic Mission San Juan Capistrano.

Not to be missed is Laguna Beach’s Pageant of the Masters (July 9-Aug. 30), which features "living pictures" - art re-creations of classical and contemporary works with real people posing to look exactly like their counterparts in the original pieces.

For a headline entertainment, exhibits, carnival rides, delicious food and everything in between, the 116th Annual Orange County Fair (July 11-Aug. 3.) in Costa Mesa.

Taste the flavors of multiple cultures at The International Street Fair (Aug. 31-Sept. 2.) in historic downtown Orange.
