Unconventional Teambuilding Takes Off in Orange County

Have you ever dreamed of being a Winemaker? How about a Cowboy? Maybe even a Jet fighter pilot? Well, all these fantasy occupations and experiences are possible in Orange County. Today’s companies are looking for untraditional fun for their teambuilding. Here are just a few “out-of-the-box” experiences that can be found within Orange County:

Teambuilding Uncorked

The Wine Artist

One of this year’s new teambuilding trends is winemaking – where teams create their own vintage of wine, from tasting to bottling.  At The Wine Artist, the place is booking up for its “Wine Tasting and Bottling Experience”, with companies hosting wine tasting and bottling parties – for both clients and employees in this upscale specialty winery.

During a wine tasting and bottling experience, guests can relax in the elegant Tuscan bar and enjoy sampling Tijeras Creek Winery varietals.  From there they are invited to enter the “Tuscan kitchen” to bottle, cork and foil their personal vintage. Personalized labels with a message, team photo and/or company logo can be created to add a special personalized touch.  At the end of the event, employees walk away with a custom bottle of their team’s wine and an unforgettable experience.

Teambuilding Horse Whisper Style

Paramount Performance
Something as seemingly simple as leading a horse is a very telling management style exercise. At Paramount Performance, groups can learn leadership skills, team building, conflict resolution and better communication through working with horses. This fun and innovative experience is overseen by a licensed clinician and an experienced horse specialist.

“It’s taken us a few years to formulate this unique experience that gives you insight into your own strengths and weaknesses. Horses are excellent teachers and show us how we react to stress, leadership,  “herd dynamics,” body language, clear communication and motivation. Just like people, they want to feel safe and will follow, if you can lead.” Stated Nora Coyle, LCSW.

The programs are designed to provide insight, instruction and fun for groups. They teach you when to ask for help, leadership qualities, when to relax, how energy affects outcome and the importance of a plan of action.
